Orioles Storm Back Late to Edge Tigers in Spring Thriller
The Baltimore Orioles mounted an 8-7 comeback win over the Detroit Tigers. After some early inning hiccups, the O’s offense got rolling behind their young stars, and the bullpen was able to shut the door.

Enrique Bradfield, the number 3 prospect in the Orioles system, knocked his first home run of the spring–another two-run shot. This is super exciting for Bradfield, a speedy CF by trade who is not known for his power. Scouts say his defense and his baserunning could make an impact right now on a major league roster. If Bradfield can add a little power to some of his more explosive tools, he could be an everyday center fielder in Baltimore by 2026. Watch out later in the week for more content on some intriguing O’s prospects.

Big Names Struggle Early On, But Bullpen Picks Up the Pieces
After a rainout yesterday, the Orioles were anxious to get some of their big names in a game for their first action of the spring. New SP Charlie Morton gave up 2 hits but did not allow a run. Dean Kremer gave up 2 runs in 2 innings, but struck out 3. Next, Seranthony Dominguez and Gregory Soto each threw an inning and gave up 2 runs. Cionel Perez came in and could not stop the bleeding, giving up a solo HR. All of a sudden it was 7-3 in the 6th inning. The final 3 innings went according to plan. Keegan Akin, Yennier Cano, and Bryan Baker each threw a scoreless inning to shut down the Detroit offense. Cano was credited with a win, and Baker picked up a save. It’s only the first week of spring games, guys are mostly looking to shake the rust off and develop a rapport with their catchers.
O’s Comeback Led By Veterans
In the 8th inning, down 7-4, the Orioles offense blew the doors off the Tigers bullpen. New OF Dylan Carlson had a leadoff walk before Bradfield drove him in with a 2-run homer. OF Daz Cameron came up later in the inning and hit a double to drive in Terrin Vavra. Jeremiah Jackson capped off a huge 8th with a single to drive in Cameron and get the lead back for the birds. A 1-run lead was enough as Baker shut the door and the O’s went home happy.
